REMINDER!!

Please DO NOT let any other parents in through the door, even if you know them. If staff say to do so, then this is okay but PLEASE close the door and allow them to let themselves in. This is to keep everybody safe.

Christmas Shopping Days

We have a few extra sessions available to book if anybody would like to book in some child-free Christmas shopping days. If you are interested, please speak to Amy.

Little Hearts Bright Futures

As some of you may have seen on our social media, we have now had an AED machine installed inside of our building from Cardi Aid. This is all apart of the Little Hearts, Bright future campaign, where Banana Moon is raising funds to install an AED machine into every single one of their nurseries. We are extremely lucky to have two AED machines on site, as back in 2021 we had one installed on the outside of our building. Both will support and benefit the community we are based in.

Parent Champion Of The Year!

Some of you may remember that last year Amy & Megan did an awards evening that celebrated the teams’ achievements, and we are planning on doing the same again!
We want you to be involved in choosing a parent champion of the year.

 Teenie Moons News

Teenie Moons is quiet now, as lots of their friends have turned 2, but it hasn’t stopped them from having lots of fun! The Teenie Moons have been focusing on their physical development, with different opportunities for them to run, walk, jump, climb, hop, and skip. The children have also been obsessed with building and stacking too!

 Mini Moons News

Amy & Claire have been working very hard within the Mini Moon Room to ensure all the children’s learning needs are being met, as we are aware the high turnover of staff recently can be overwhelming for both children and parents. Lucy, Beth and our new team member, Leonie, have also been a huge help in this process. The children have been incredible and have really blossomed in the past few months.
We have been doing many observations to really understand why the children are doing different things, which has helped us understand their different ways of play, allowing us to plan for their engagement and development!
We have really been focusing on language and how we can encourage this in everything that we do. Our favorite topics in Mini Moons have been The Gruffalo, Halloween, Cars and Colours.

 Full Moons News

Megan and Lucy have been focusing on different events that can help children learn all about different cultures and religions, as well as what makes us different from our peers. They have been talking everything about family life, houses and their past experiences and events. The Full Moons have also gained some news friends as they have all transitioned into Full Moons as they all turned 3!

Full Moons have been loving playing games recently, so if you have any old games that are suitable for 3-year-old, we’d love to let them have a go (either to borrow or donate).

Christmas Stay and Play (Mini & Full Moons)

This will be on Friday 22nd December 3pm till 4.30pm. Please can you let us know if you are planning to attend by Friday 8th December 2023, so we can order enough food for a party tea (siblings are welcome, just let us know they will be coming)

Workshops

We have taken on feedback and are going to be offering more parent workshops from January 2024. We emailed a survey over to get a feel for what workshops and support parents and families would like and are working to put a calendar of events together by the end of the year, so you know in advance when special events are up and coming.

The staff team stay after their shift to provide the workshop so it is important that you inform us if you can or can no longer attend. We try our hardest not to cancel them but if there is nobody booked on or interested, we do not run them.

We are very excited to be able to offer more so hopefully you can join us.
