Moons Charity Planet

Moons Charity Planet
Our nursery has such a family feel that when one of the team is having to deal with something, we all do. We care for each other like a family and support each other with all the challenges that life throws at us.

Over the course of 2021 we decided to give back and support charities that have helped some of our families and team during some of their most difficult times. In total we raised a huge £3765 for three different charities.

September 2021.

In September, we held a Summer Fete to raise money for SANDS as this helped one of the staffs families back in January and has continued to support them during an extremely difficult time. We raised £500 for this charity. We sold cupcakes, picnic styled food, had a massive tombola, a raffle and lots of games- all of this proved to very popular with the families we already work with and the local community.

October 2021.

In October, we finally completed our fundraising for our AED machine. We actually raised this money over the course of 2 years but due to the dreaded coronavirus, the instillation had to be put on hold. Tamworth Have A Heart installed the machine in early October and we were so excited. We raised £1500 to fund the machine and would like to shout out Kingsbury 1st Preschool, The Royal Oak Kingsbury, the family and friends of Banana Moon Kingsbury and Warwickshire County Council for the donations. We can now continue to support the local community in their time of need.

December 2021.

In December, we then held a Christmas Fete to raise money for The Snowdrop Suite at Goodhope Hospital. This facility help our very own manager, Amy and her partner when they sadly lost their daughter (Gracie Colette) in November 2021. The big man himself, Santa was in attendance and Mrs Claus hosted an outdoor workshop. We sold hot food and drink, cupcakes, played games, had a tombola and had a HUGE raffle with over 45 prizes! Using the power of social media to spread their story, we raised a massive £1765. The local community also joined in the fun and visited us for a Christmas surprise.

We are so grateful that we have been able to give back to local and national charities and are hoping to continue this in 2022 and we hope you can too.
