Banana Moon Updates
As some of you are aware, Kingsbury has two sister nurseries, owned directly by Banana Moon- Hatton & Davlyhume. Mark & Josh have appointed an area manager, who will oversee the 3 nurseries. Once we have more information we shall be sharing, but we’d like to Welcome Chloe (who was previously manager at Hatton) to the team.
Teenie Moons
June has been super busy for the Teenie Moons as they have been welcoming some new friends.
In June the Teenie Moons have also been out and about in the community, visiting the local parks to develop some core physical skills. They have continued this learning at nursery with lots of different physical activities to strengthen muscles.
The EYP’s have been keeping the children cool by doing lots of water play and making good use of the paddling pool. Every activity the children have done recently has been to help encourage and support communication development and social interactions with their friends.
The Teenie Moon team have lots of exciting plans for July and if you have any ideas, please suggest them to the Teenie Moon Team!
Sadly, we have a few Teenie Moons leaving us to join other settings in July. We will be sad to see them go but wanted to thank their families for their continued support. Good Luck in your future adventures!!
Mini Moons
WOW! What a busy June the Mini Moons have had. Many of the children will have been on a local outing to either the park, shop, or library bus. They have loved this new experience and we cannot wait to do more in July.
The Mini Moons have been focused on using different objects to support their ideas, identifying primary colours and their communication development. They have taken part in mark exciting, inviting and different activities to promote their different learning styles.
The EYPS have worked extremely hard on a routine that suits all of the children and it has made a huge difference in the children’s well-being, and it has allowed the EYPS to be more creative and create new opportunities for the children.
Full Moons
Full Moons have been out and about too this month. They have had several trips out to the park and even the shop to buy fruit for snacks.
In June, it was also Healthy Eating Week- one of the Full Moons has been growing fruit and vegetables at home so has brought in cucumbers for his friends to try and they were delicious. During healthy eating week, the children made lots of yummy and nutritional snacks, including smoothies!!
Some of the Full Moons have been preparing for the journey to school and they have absolutely smashed it!
Muddy Moons
Claire has been back at it again with the Muddy Moons sessions and the children have LOVED IT. From bug hunts to wind chime making, the creative juices outside have been flowing!
Keep your eyes peeled on social media for more exciting and out of the box ideas over the summer + many more outings!
Midnight Moon Awards
We have some super exciting news. The Midnight Moon Award Nominations are now OPEN!!

Some of you may remember that last year, our Head Office opened the nominations and allowed all staff and families to nominate as they love hearing about all the amazing hard work across the network and they have done the same this year.
